Factors determining mural price:

1.     Location and square footage of the area to be painted

2.     Cost of all materials and equipment for the job

3.     Level of detail in the mural

4.     Working conditions

Consultation:

Consultation is free either over the phone, email or in person. The project ramifications will be discussed along with time and cost estimate. If client has an exact picture to size of what they desire on the wall, then there will not be a design fee.  If the muralist needs to make a design, then a non-refundable design fee of $250 needs to be paid up front.

Payment:

After a design has been agreed upon then the client will be given a contract that will tell the scope of the work and start and end dates along with payment details.

50% downpayment will be required to start the project. This cost schedules the mural and makes it possible to purchase required materials.

After the mural painting is completed, then the remaining $ amount will be expected.

Mural Cost:

The cost of painting the mural will be between $35-$50 a square foot depending on the agreed upon design complexity and if there is travel time.

Any special equipment needed such as scaffolding, scissor lift, gel for adhesion, travel accommodations will be added to the mural cost.

The client will be responsible for the preparation of the wall. Any repairs to the wall or paintable masonry sealers should have been completed by the client before the artists arrival. The wall should have at least a coat of primer on it before artists arrival also.

How to measure your space for the mural and calculate cost:

Measure your space by measuring the height of the area x the width. Plus send a photo of the area. Take that measurement multiplied by $35-$50 a square foot (depending on detail) , add extra equipment and possible accommodation costs.

Information:

·     Prices don’t include tax.

·     Wrapped canvas will have the edges painted. They are ready to hang as is. This type of canvas can be framed by the client if they desire.

·     A single panel canvas board is chosen it will not have sides to paint. Flat board
